Carbon-based nanoparticles are a novel way of improving many current technologies and have had various applications across multiple industries, with a high level of success.
We designed out carbon nanodots to be used to make current genetic engineering methods in biological systems cheaper, faster and easier. They are highly biocompatible, cost effective, produce results faster than current methods, and are extremely easy to apply to various systems, from high-value crop plants to horticultural species.
The carbon nanodots have successfully been used in the genetic engineering of multiple crop and horticultural species, and in the genetic editing of wheat (Triticum aestivum).
